Before installing the COMP Cams 5455 spring limiter tool, it's necessary to compress the variable valve timing spring. These camshaft phaser disassembly wrenches compress the spring—so you can install the 5455 limiter tool and then the 5457 or 5459 phaser limiter plug. Order the wrench recommended for your year/make and engine application.
