TCI Powerglide bolt-together planetary gears optimize both strength and ease of use. Built with racers in mind, the straight-cut gears are precisely manufactured from heat-treated 9310 steel and feature steel-backed, bit-metal washers with a wear-resistant PTFE layer to reduce friction and heat. The sun gear and input shaft features roller thrust bearings, rather than washers, to avoid failures. Their cleverly engineered design, plus the variety of gear ratios, offers the strongest and lowest-friction gear sets available.
