Description:
Tilton OT-Series Cerametallic clutch kits are primarily designed for racing applications. They utilize a unique blend of ceramic and metallic materials to create superior 4-paddle discs that allow for some clutch modulation. Because cerametallic discs are thicker than sintered metallic discs, their increased mass provides higher heat capacity. Plus, the engagement characteristics of cerametallic clutches are smoother than sintered metallic clutches. These features have made Tilton cerametallic clutches popular in rally, hill climb, club-racing, off-road, and extreme street/strip applications.

Features include:

* Open, one-piece clutch cover design; provides lower operating temperatures, higher strength and minimized deflection for quick shifting
* Several spring rate options; provide a wide range of torque capacities and release loads to tune the clutch for the application
* Chrome vanadium diaphragm springs and engineered pressure plate geometry; provide high clamp load-to-wear ratio, low release loads, and quick shifting
* High-strength steel pressure and floater plates
* 0.283 in. thick friction discs; provide excellent wear resistance and withstand elevated temperatures
* Hardened steel thrust buttons; provide a smooth and durable surface for pressure and floater plates
* Dynamic spin balanced
* Individually inspected for proper assembly and balance
