Radial mounting, multiple options for piston volume, and a rotor diameter capability ranging of up to 15.00 in., gives the SX6R 6-piston calipers the versatility necessary to suit all types of heavyweight braking requirements. They also incorporate Wilwood's exclusive dust wiper seal that further protects the piston bore from dust and corrosion, allowing the caliper to be used in locales that mandate a method of environmental sealing. The bodies of Wilwood SX6R Series calipers are stress-flow forged from premium aluminum alloy billet--a process that eliminates the stresses and interruptions to the internal grain structure, resulting in superior clamping efficiency and ultimate strength against fatigue, stresses, and distortion under load.
